I AM STILL ROYALTY

No matter how many times I fall, I will enter his city,

Coz even when I make a mistake, I am still royalty,

I belong to the Father, mwenye enzi juu ya kiti,

Mkuu wa maisha, Lord with you niko fiti.

She struggles to abstain, struggles so hard,

No matter how she tries, the darkness too much,

At 20 with a kid,but cant seem to get rid of the addiction,

Its like she doesn’t have a conscience, got zero conviction,

Hopes obliterated coz of life lived carelessly,

Carelessly? Well, maybe now she cares less Lee,

From Johnny to Mikey,Chris, Kim and Harry, no bliss,

Different experiences, encounters, no love, she just miss-es,

The days of the  Holy Ghost, prayers and fastings,

The days of demon chasing and spiritual lightnings,

Her heart cries coz of lack of strength to stand,

She had forgotten that its Calvary that used to help her stand,

On her knees, tears flow as she seeks to know,

How she can make things right with the Light,

She seeks strength from the source of all might,

My dear sister this is the confession of today,

This is the declaration that you oughta make this day.

Let it not be true

Tony’s wondering where the next meal is,

Rummaging through the rubbish bins in dead of night,

Hope gone through the roof, absence of light,

Meaning of life is lost in bustle of life,

His hut in Kibich speaks volumes of his squalor,

The strife that robbed a young man of his valor,

No more relatives coz he now has HIV,

Three square meals a day is only a pipe dream to him,

Trouble surrounding him, his cup full to brim,

The sun disappeared and the future so grim,

His heart cries coz of lack of strength to stand,

He had forgotten that its Calvary that used to help him stand,

On his knees, tears flow as he seeks to know,

How he can make things right with the Light,

He seeks strength from the source of all might,

My dear brother this is the confession of today,

This is the declaration that you oughta make this day.

I am still royalty

This is the declaration we should all make:

To Marianne who just lost her baby because of a mudslide in Mukurweini, I AM STILL ROYALTY

And Peter who just got sent home from his high school because he has not paid fees, I AM STILL ROYALTY

To Mr. Matano who just lost his job and is wondering how he is going to pay this month’s rent, I AM STILL ROYALTY

Let the young girl defiled and lying in Nairobi Women Hospital Ward rise up in faith and declare, I AM STILL ROYALTY

Stephanie who has no idea what to with the baby left her doorstep, tell that little infant, YOU ARE STILL ROYALTY

For even though we fall, we gotta rise up,

Even when they step on our feet, the pain will disappear with time,

Even when they call us names, they will not be able to take our identity,

He knows my name, He called me by name,

He took my blame, washed me clean and told me to shout for his fame,

Assured me that if I walk right, close to the light I just might have his hand hold me through the night and take my plight, yes! Put my enemies to flight,

Because He made me see I AM STILL ROYALTY .

What we all are
